Hun Sen criticized and responded to some analysts who blamed the Press and Quick Reaction Unit for broadcasting a recording of a conversation between two opposition party leaders.

Analysts considered the broadcast of the recording between Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha, Human Rights Party leader, as a mistake of the government and the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).

Hun Sen, however, dismissed the charge, stating that there were a lot of insults aimed towards the CPP on Facebook, and the analysts didn't mention anything about the wrongness of those insults.

Hun Sen expressed his reaction Thursday while presiding over an inauguration ceremony of a temple in the Me Mot district.

The braodcast Wednesday talked about the mutual criticism between Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha  after the 2008 elections which CPP had won 90 seats while 26 seats went to Sam Rainsy and three seats went the Human Rights party, the remainder went to two royalist parties.

The recording also voiced Sam Rainsy's strong criticizism of the Human Rights Party and charge its leader of being a puppet of the CPP.

Phai Siphan, spokesman for Council of Ministers Office, didn’t give any comment when asked about the recording titled "Kem Sokha and Sam Rainsy have the illness of forgetting what they have said".

Keo Remy, member of the Press and Quick Reaction Unit, denied to comment while Tith Sothea, a member in that unit, could not be reached for comment.

Kem Sokha, who's currently the acting president of National Rescue Party, expressed no surprise over the broadcast, saying that it was a tactic of CPP used to exaggerate others.

The CPP is seriously wrong when it used the Press and Quick Reaction Unit to serve its political affairs, he added.
